I’m delighted to announce that I’ve been invited back to Trinity College Dublin Literary Society for the third time, on this occasion to speak about creative writing and my forthcoming book, Melody’s Unicorn. The talk, entitled ‘Why Write? Why Read?’, aims to address the fundamental questions of why people write novels in a world already saturated with published titles, and why sane people who have busy lives spend so much of their time reading them. Partly about creative writing, partly about the creative act of reading, this talk is designed to be of wide interest, and may even include a five-minute creative writing session!
